May 2018 meeting
The fourth club meeting of 2018 will be on Thursday May 17, at the Royal Canadian Legion at 111 Hunt Street (in the upstairs clubroom.)
The doors will be open by 7 pm. The meeting officially starts at 7:30

June 2018 Meeting
The fifth club meeting of 2018 will be on Thursday June 21, at the Royal Canadian Legion at 111 Hunt Street (in the upstairs club room.)
The doors will be open by 7 pm. The meeting officially starts at 7:30.
This meeting includes a Strawberry Social !
Our speaker will be Beverley Williams, of the African Violet Society of Canada

1) Our speaker was Paul Oliver, of the Urban Nature Store. (These stores are in Pickering and Oshawa, as well as other locations in this area.)
Paul’s presentation was about “Gardening to Attract Birds”, with a focus on using different types of feeders, plants and landscape designs to help attract birds, and the importance of making birds feel safe and comfortable in our man-made environment.
2) Since we did not have our Annual General Meeting in November, it was held as part of the January meeting.
